European Operations Manager Job in England, Southern Uk

The European Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that RefWorks-COS is strongly represented in Europe Middle East, with a local presence focusing on Operations issues to assist the Sales Organization and coordinate with RW-COS colleagues based in North America.
Responsibilities:
· The European Operations manager will work hand-in-hand with a variety of functional areas in the RW-COS organization, including Sales, Training, Client Services, Marketing, Technical Services, Product Management, and
Content Development
· Tasking will vary significantly from week-to-week as required by the organization's priorities. Typical tasks could include:
· Organization and vetting of European Middle Eastern customer suggestions and feedback and reporting on this to Sales and Product Management in the US.
· Handling Technical Support requests from European Middle Eastern RW-COS customers in coordination with US-based team.
· Involved in training of internationally based sales marketing colleagues in product demonstration techniques.
· Attendance at key conferences and staffing of company booth at trade shows
· Involvement in usage building projects, such as outreach to subscribing librarians and Rearch Officers, interacting with end-users such as faculty members, and running certification programs for product skill sets.
· Organization and scheduling of training sessions in Europe Middle East, and Leading certain On-site and web-based training as needed.
· Evaluation of competition for both RefWorks and COS products .
· Cooperation with Sales Team in a Product Support function, helping to answer questions from prospective customers and overcome objections to assist the business in bring to fruition business opportunities.
· Translation of materials.

Essential Skills and Materials:
· Language skills: Fluency in English and either German, Spanish or French. Including strong reading, writing, and oral skills including confident presentation capabilities. Additional fluency or partial competency in the other
European languages desired.
· Knowledge of modern information platforms used by Libraries.
· Significant experience giving customer presentations demonstrating internet applications or software.
· Self-starter. Ability to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and professionally, without direct supervision. Ability to work independently as well as a team member following up on open issues to obtain successful closure without
prompting or reminders.
· Exceptional communication, organizational, and negotiation skills to work effectively with a geographically dispersed cross functional team as well as with clients, external teams, managers, and executives.
· Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
· Proficiency with all Microsoft office applications and all major web browsers.
· Adaptable to changes in the workplace.
· Ability to interact with the public

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time including International travel is essential.
Qualifications Required: BS/MS degree or equivalent required. MLS Degree or equivalent highly desired.
Skills and Experience:
· Experience supporting sales organization
· Experience with bibliographic management tools / citation management tools.
· Knowledge of Research Management field
· Prior work experience working for US-headquartered corporation
