European Security Application Support Team Lead / Manager
Our Investment Banking client in London is looking for a European Security Applications Support Team Lead to manage a second-level trading IT support team. They will be involved in Infrastructure management, IT Change Management and Project Management, and will also be required to Design, implement, and support the enterprise infrastructure for their trading applications.
Candidates will require:
- A proven history of managing and motivating IT Support teams
- Experience of electronic trading technology (Government Corporate debt securities preferred)
- Basic UNIX (Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) system administration
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Perl and Python preferred)
- Sybase and Oracle DB configuration and use (writing SQL and stored procedures, basic system administration, query review and optimisation).
And must be able to:
- Communicate clearly and concisely, even under pressure
- Think analytically and challenge preconceptions with evidence
- Be excited by technology
- Retain a positive, resilient attitude, even after setbacks
- Work flexible hours depending on business demands (some early mornings, late nights, out of hours escalation weekend work required)
- Have the ability to travel to other regions and countries at times.
Desirables:
- Experience with ION Trading pricing and risk management software (Marketview MMI)
- CCNA or other training in TCP/IP connectivity
- Experience with OTC Rates and Credit Derivatives
Banking experience is required, and only candidates who have previously worked within a banking environment will be considered for this position.
