Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for an Events Assistant to support the Events Department in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The Events team organise and manage all events activities in UK and across Europe for MG Investments.

Key responsibilities
Ownership of industry dinners:
* Manage the logistics requests with all third party industry organisers
* Confirm seating plans and dietary requirements
* Arrange transport and accommodation if required

Assist the team with any adhoc duties:
* Be prepared to assist in all Events Team projects as and when required, sometimes at short notice
* Familiarise yourself with all our internal clients and team processes to ensure you are able to step in to cover sickness and holiday as and when required

Ownership of venue searching:
* Develop and maintain a good working relationship with relevant venue finding agencies to ensure that MG are kept abreast of all new and innovative venues available for events in the UK and Europe
* Undertaken site inspections of venues for/with Event Manager for specific events
* Keep the Events Team updated of all new innovations in the venue space

Manage admin responsibilities for the Events Team:
* As and when required, perform admin duties for the events team

Budget reporting
* Produce monthly budget reports to keep sales up to speed with event spend.
* Flag to event manager if budget near to or exceeded or if irregular payments are noticed.

General:
* Build and maintain strong relationships and promote good communication
* Prioritise work load and deadlines in order to deliver timely and reliable responses
* Manage diaries when required

What we are looking for

* Self motivated person
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills
* Excellence in adhering to planning processes
* Strong team player with professional communication skills with all levels of staff and external contacts
* Proactive, friendly, 'can do' attitude
* Advanced user of Lotus Notes, MS Power Point and MS Excel would be desirable
* Highly energetic, with a strong delivery ethos.
* Highly professional and well-presented.
* European language is desirable, but not essential for this role.
