Events Marketing Manager recruitment
Our client, a global MNC, provides high-end solutions including consulting, systems design and integration, support and maintenance that complement their users systems and technologies. They are currently looking for an Events Marketing Manager (Singapore based)
Job Responsibilities
The primary role is to support the Asia Pacific marketing team in regional marketing, events management and industry representation with the focus on events in Singapore, India and China.
- Initially assist and then ultimately manage both external and internal events, technology briefings and in-promotional activities including shows and conferences
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as direct mail, HTML, print advertising, e-advertising, e-newsletter, event invitations and video/photographic materials in promoting their solutions. Assist in translation and Quality Control of head office corporate materials.
- Assist in PR activities including favourable press coverage, speaking opportunities for regional executives; maintain relationships with trade publications, sponsorship of industry events and associations.
- Assist in gathering and maintaining market information and ensure that the sales teams and headquarter is informed.
- Ability to prepare power point presentation with a creative flair.
- Co-ordinate the regional marketing plan – including exhibitions, conferences, events, association and networking activities, advertising and PR activities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, PR agencies, advertising agencies, exhibition designers etc.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Should have a Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Corporate Communications
- 4+ years’ relevant experience in events management regionally from a MNC within the IT industry.
- Good spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Organised, a team worker, with good attention to detail and an ability to work can work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) when dealing with internal and external contacts.
- The role requires creative thinking, self-motivation, determination and problem solving skills.
- An ability to work with multiple cultures is essential and requires sensitivity to local issues and personalities whilst achieving the agreed regional goals.
