The Events Specialist is a key member of the FIJI events team. This person will play an important role in the management of deliveries in the Southern California area for the marketing/events department. Reporting directly to the Senior Event Marketing Manager West, the Events Specialist is responsible for placing and tracking product orders, delivering product or event materials to numerous locations and assisting with event activation where needed. Reliability, organization, communication and attention to detail are essential to the Event Specialist position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with marketing and events team in order to fulfill delivery orders as requested
- Create, process and track product orders through distribution center
- Pick up and deliver product orders and event materials to event locations and accounts using company delivery vehicle; confirm deliveries to team
- Create, manage and share delivery schedule with team
- Assist at some events in Southern California region including: set up, break down, sampling and brand representation (i.e. serve as brand ambassador)
- Occasionally work with sales team for extended sampling programs, delivery assistance and merchandising of grocery accounts, as time permits
- Manage small inventory of product in offsite storage facility
- Participate in weekly team calls and one-on-one meetings with manager
Qualifications:
- Licensed California driver with clean driving record
- Familiar with the general Los Angeles area
- Responsible for loading and unloading delivery vans/trucks
- Able to lift/unloading shipments of 50 lbs +
- Responsible for maintenance and storage of company vehicle (15 passenger van)
- Intermediate computer skills essential, including ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook email, basic Word and Excel documents)
- Ability to use Blackberry or similar device; make/receive calls, send texts and email messages
