BAE Systems Joint Expeditionary Forensic Facilities (JEFF) Program is proud to support the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL) and its forward-deployed ACME forensic laboratories. JEFF is in need of experienced Evidence Custodians/Case File Managers wishing to join our dynamic team and deploy to Afghanistan. In these positions, individuals are focused on case file and evidence management. Job responsibilities include ensuring compliance with policies and procedures relating to storage and disposal of evidence; maintaining chain of custody; monitoring the issuance and transfer of government property and military assets in the form of laboratory equipment and evidence; controlling access to evidence rooms; appropriate handling and storing of government property throughout the facility; verifying the integrity of property records; updating, filing, and efficiently tracking laboratory case file records from case inception to completion; completing electronic and hard copy documentation; ensuring submitters are provided reports and results in a timely manner; accurately tracking and assessing laboratory metrics; answering requests for information on open and archived cases; disseminating reports on intel platforms such as CIDNE and WEAT; and other duties as needed. Individuals must be able to effectively manage and prioritize a very high volume of cases and forensic material. As such, well-developed organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. The ability to communicate clearly in written and oral formats is also important. In addition, the personal attributes most highly regarded are self-motivation, professionalism, and flexibility suited to an expeditionary environment. During time of deployment, substantial amounts of additional compensation are added to base salary. Housing and food are provided. BAE Systems offers competitive salary and benefits.
