We are working with a consistently successful Global Proprietary Trading house renowned for its use of cutting edge technology, creating sophisticated solutions and attracting and rewarding the best brains/technologists the markets have to offer. They have been consistently growing their Sydney operations and are now looking for a VBA / Tactical RAD (Rapid Application Development) style Desk Aligned Developer to provide tactical solutions to individual trading desks.
Your time will be most spent sitting with the traders flushing out their requirements/frustrations with the current systems before building new tools to allow the quicker execution of trades. You will design and implement highly performant and Object Oriented solutions and consistently research, suggest and implement systems refinements/improvements.
Requirements of the role:
- Exceptionally strong Excel VBA knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of algorithm design
- Solid (non database specific) SQL understanding including Database design and programming
- C# / .Net experience
- Understanding of Automated Trading (highly beneficial)
- Exemplary communication and Interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Equities Markets Preferred (Cash Derivatives)
- Market Making, Option Pricing and Trading Risk Knowledge
- Ability to work autonomously but also knowledge share and mentor when required
This is an incredibly business facing role requiring a clear thinker that has the ability to quickly spot system inefficiencies. You must then utilise your initiative to resolve them in the most proficient way possible with little or no impact on the business.
