GCA Services Supervisors assists the Account Manager directing personnel to perform assigned tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assume responsibilities of the Account Manager in the Account Managers absence.
- Oversee the safe operation of vehicles while observing speed limits and slower reasonable speeds in the presence of pedestrians, obstacles, bright sunlight glare, darkness, etc. and assures leads and drivers do the same.
- Directs Lead Drivers to oversee the movement of vehicles from one point to another under the direction of the customer or account manager.
- Assists the Account Manager in assessing the effectiveness of the team, as well as, be on alert for potential trouble spots needing resolved.
- Maintain frequent contact with the customer, Lead Drivers and Account Manager.
- Provide training as necessary to establish acceptable practices and correct deficiencies.
- Suggests improvements to Account Manager to enhance safety and increase productivity.
- Identify, corrects and/or communicates safety issues to Account Manager.
- Assures drivers and leads properly use signaling methodologies (flashers on, trunk open, keys in door, etc.) to signify various pre-established meanings.
- Promptly and accurately complete accident reports when a vehicle is damaged in any way. Immediately inform Account Manager and Customer.
- Analyze root causes of accidents and communicates findings to the Account Manager in an effort to eliminate or mitigate the causes in the future.
- Assist the Account Manager with employee counseling, training and/or disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Perform time keeping functions such as assuring all employees clock in and out properly; will also perform various administrative functions as directed by manager.
Experience and Skills:
Education/Experience:
- H.S. Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and job related experience. 6 months experience in a lead or supervisory role desired.
- Must be 21 years of age and have vaid state issued Drivers License; can not have move than 3 combined moving vioations or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
- All applicants will be subject to a pre-employment background check which includes; Criminal, MVR and drug screen.
- Basic PC Skills and use of MS Office a plus; previous experience using timecard/payroll software preferred.
