Exec Dir – Technical Architect recruitment
The Opportunity:
To join a leading Top Tier Investment Bank as an ED level Technical Architect. You will have worked on large scale, multi-year projects in a leadership capacity before. The emphasis is on Technical knowledge and understanding, to a low level, within one or two of the following areas;
* Grid Architecture / Vitalisation
* Enterprise Messaging
* SOA / Relational Databases
The program will take a view of the existing systems and you will be critical in helping to design and also deliver a new system that will integrate many functions, this will be a mix of re-factoring existing IT and also designing new components. It will be a globally distributed team, with London leading the design and development effort. The application will be the central component to firm wide books, records and control architecture. It will manage about a 200 million events a day, therefore you must have previous experience of building systems in a similar environment. My client is looking for an expert who will bring specific knowledge to the Architectural Team, be it Grid, Messaging or SOA skills. This is a high profile project and will require someone to have a genuine passion for software and engineering problems. Management may also be possible if a candidate is looking for that.
