Execution Desk Specialist recruitment
PEAK6 Investments is looking for an Execution Desk Specialist to join our Execution Desk team. The Execution Desk works in collaboration with traders and brokers to find liquidity, disseminate order flow and maintain broker relationships. Although familiarity with trading knowledge and terminology is required, an execution desk specialist is not a trading position. The perfect candidate will be comfortable building and maintaining broker relationships, have a natural sense of urgency and the ability to multitask with great attention to detail.
Key Skills Responsibilities:
- Manage paper flow information and executing orders between brokers and PEAK6 traders via electronic communication
- Grow business relationships with brokers
- Prepare various trading reports and analyzing paper flow
- Monitor/enter data via proprietary technology tools, and
- Keep traders abreast of market and company specific news
Job Requirements:
- Has a Series 7 or 56
- Is familiar with options and trading conventions and terminology, but knows they do not want to become a trader
- Is personable, has excellent phone skills, and can build relationships via electronic communication or the phone
- Has a natural sense of urgency, can multitask, and is motivated by a busy work environment
- Is available and enthusiastic to attend broker sponsored events
