They are a highly regarded, independent, integrated investment banking and securities house with over 100 employees in London. They have a strong collegiate culture and strong employee participation in the business.
The Role
The execution services department provides bespoke solutions to the firm's clients. Reporting to the Head of Execution services and working within a small team, this is a hybrid role related to trading, business and technology. The firm's execution services are wide ranging from telephonic trading to processing using retail and institutional channels. The development team enables the firm to stay ahead of its competitors within order routing and its retail services platform.
This role includes the following:
- Helping to maintain the retail services platform
- Design and production of a range of MI
- Assisting in design of new workflows and order routing algorithms
- Client testing and client on boarding
- Dealing with client requests, monitoring orders and being customer facing. (Hence Securities Institute Leve 3 is a pre-requisite for consideration for the role)
- In-house quality assurance testing
- Continual liaison with internal and external customers
- Liaison with the technology and development department
Who they are looking for
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a minimum 2:1 degree graduate with the Securities Level 3 qualification and an excellent academic background
- Gained no more than 1 - 5 years' work experience after leaving university
- Must have a demonstrable interest in financial markets
- Have good customer facing and people liaison skills
- Must be interested in technology and have an analytical mind
The role would suit someone who is used to dealing with problems in logic but we are not looking for a technologist or an IT developer.
