Our client has grown rapidly over the past decade and thanks to its complete commitment to scientific research has created an investment management vehicle for the 21st century. The company now employs over 200 people, half directly involved in research, and has over US$20 billion in assets under management.

They maintain a strong emphasis on investing in research infrastructure and capacity. In 2005 the company established a dedicated research centre at the Oxford Science Park and since then has opened a further centre in London, augmenting the company links with two of the world's top universities. In September 2008 they opened their first overseas office in Hong Kong. 

The role will cover equities, commodities, futures, FX and fixed income trading.

Requirements:

- Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).

- Excellent academic track record with evidence of strong career progression and achievement.

- Experience at a leading investment management business in a front office, preferably buy-side trader role.

- Mental agility and the ability to perform under pressure.

- Knowledge of the equities trade life cycle.

- Advanced Excel skills.

- SFC licensed representative.

Responsibilities:

- Execution of trade orders generated by internal trading strategies.

- Booking trades and coordinating with Operations, IT and Risk to ensure smooth trade life cycle.

- Summarise market trends; circulate significant news and market movements among team members.

- Working closely with technologists to build the IT infrastructure for execution.
