Independent Buyers’ Co-op has an opening for an executive administrative assistant in Arlington, Texas.  This is a part-time position of 30 hours per week now during training, and to become a full-time position in January 2012.  The company provides benefits that include medical insurance, with optional dental and vision coverage, and 401K plan, profit sharing to full-time employees.

Independent Buyers’ Co-op is the largest convenience store co-op in Texas with 2700 members statewide.  We are a buying group for the independently owned convenience stores, and offer them national brand programs such as Dr Pepper, Coca-Cola, Frito Lay, Blue Rhino, Community Coffee, Oak Farms milk and many more at substantial savings.  The company began in 1993.

Job Qualifications

Prospective candidates should have a stable work history and an outgoing, positive personality.  The candidate will work directly with the President and Vice President.  Skills include multi-tasking, high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, strong work ethic, motivated, and work with little supervision to meet deadlines.  Software skills include advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Access.  We accept 1-2 years related work experience with a 4 year college degree. You must be very polished as you will have direct contact with suppliers who visit our company. Candidate should live in the immediate vicinity of Arlington, Texas which will be our new headquarters in January 2012.

Job Description

Daily activity will include administrative support for the President and Vice President.  Manage daily calendars, assist with multiple projects tracking/management, customer service issues, research and organize special projects for the Executives,  heavy PC usage in Microsoft Office Suite, and telephone contact with customers. 

Starting Rate:  $16.00 per hour
