Executive Assistant to the Group Chief Executive of a FTSE business

We are working with a FTSE 100 business, who are now looking to recruit an Executive Assistant to work for the Group Chief Executive.  It's a superb opportunity for someone from consulting, an MBA, strategy, private equity or industry. 

The role will entail the following:

·         Play an active role on special projects, assigned by the CEO;

·         Brief the CEO ahead of key meetings;

·         Draft speeches and correspondence for the CEO;

·         Participate in senior-level discussions related to Group strategy and business issues as they arise;

·         Act as a representative to the CEO in specific meetings;

·         Travel internationally, as required, to address ad hoc or strategic business issues, and also accompany the CEO on international travel;

·         Liaise with and provide guidance to colleagues ahead of internal meetings with the CEO;

·         Contribute to Investor Relations activities;

·         Work closely with senior colleagues, including the Group FD, COO and Head of Group Strategy.

Communication

·         A considered and precise communicator with the ability to tailor messages and information according to the audience;

·         An experienced influencer, able to read situations and adjust their style to suit the sensitivities;

·         Able to establish credibility with a range of stakeholders and develop productive working relationships;

·         Excellent written skills with proven experience of translating complex information into concise summaries to support decision-making.

Analytical Skills

·         Financially literate;

·         Able to analyse data and draw conclusions, identify trends and exceptions;

·         Have good numerical skills and accomplished using spreadsheets.

Excellence

·         Ensure accuracy of information by being detail orientated and taking pride in producing very high quality work;

·         Comfortable working in an environment where expectations are high and work needs to be completed to strict deadlines;

·         Always striving to think ahead and taking a proactive approach to working with the CEO.

 

Skills and Experience

·         To have a minimum of a good degree from a reputable institution. An MBA or further professional qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential;

·         Experience of the broking environment is beneficial, however we are looking to attract internal candidates from all areas of the business;

·         Demonstrate experience of working closely with senior management and of the behavioural competencies described above;

·         Able to travel, albeit infrequently, as part of the role.
