The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is currently looking for an experienced high performance Corporate Banker with a love for business development to become part of our highly successful and professional Client Acquisition and Advisory (CAA) team. The CAA team originate new-to-bank business to Corporate Financial Services (CFS) with a particular focus on mid-market general industries corporate clients.
The purpose of the Executive role is to identify and acquire new Corporate Banking clients. The role will see the successful candidate actively pursue the identification of opportunities and take ownership of prospect transactions, while delivering exceptional customer service in all dealings and strong transaction economics for the bank.
To be selected for this role you must;
- Possess and demonstrate successful transaction experience across the entire deal cycle including relationship building, pipeline development, strategic management, deal negotiation/execution, and deal integration, for transactions of minimum $20million of senior debt.
- You will have a strong risk management understanding and you will have the ability to understand the client's business in order to deliver timely and professional financial solutions in support of business objectives and client's needs
- You will need to have advanced skills in financial modelling and going concern lending
- You will have strong negotiation and influencing skills and will have an ability to build lasting business relationships
- You will lead with outstanding vision and values, and will have the energy, passion, and mentoring ability to drive the team to achieve outstanding sales and customer service results
- Candidates will be considered if they have a strong track record in corporate lending, and exposure to acquisition funding and debt advisory.
- A finance / accounting degree or an MBA will be viewed positively.
You have a strong strategic and analytical approach and your ability to engage key stakeholders across various segments of a Banking organisation is first class. You will have strong written and verbal communication/negotiation skills, as well as possessing strong Relationship Management, influencing, credit risk and business development skills. The ability to deal with multiple parties and project manage a transaction to closure is a key requirement. You will ideally have strong connections to the Queensland market, and you will have the capability to work in a competitive financial services business development environment.
