Posted Position Title: Executive Counsel - Compliance Career Level: Experienced Function Legal Function Segment: Compliance and Regulatory Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Pennsylvania City: Lawrence Park Postal Code: 16531-0001 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: The Executive Compliance Counsel at Transportation will provide legal counsel and compliance leadership to Transportation's quickly growing global business, ensuring that the dynamic business needs, growth challenges and risks profile are reflected in its compliance risk management program. This role is a high profile role within Transportation and the GE Legal / Compliance Community. Essential Responsibilities - Providing leadership, oversight and legal counsel to ensure adherence with all aspects of compliance and GE's Spirit Letter policies - Conducting or supervising internal compliance investigations - Delivering proactive and preventive counsel and compliance training - Working with the business leaders proactively to monitor and analyze compliance risks and corrective action - Leading and managing the GE Compliance processes - Developing and executing a compliance training and communications strategy in cooperation with the business leaders - Providing advice and guidance to business leaders on the development and maintenance of a compliance culture - Leading Transportation's matrixed global compliance team supporting the business and ensuring the delivery of proactive and strategic legal counsel to the team - Developing and retaining a top performing compliance team - Actively participating in the GE Principal Compliance Leaders group - Participating actively in business development to ensure that compliance is a key part of acquisitions and integrations Qualifications/Requirements: - Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school - Minimum 8 years of related legal experience - U.S. State Bar Admission (member in good standing) Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
