Sodexo is seeking for a Dining Room Manager for a 325 resident Continuing Care Retirement Community in Western Chicago Suburbs / Carol Steam, IL. The Executive Dining Room Manager at this location will be responsible in managing the daily operations of the food service area / retail / dining room/ catering, managing employees, oversee food production and preparation and labor cost. The dining room manager will oversee all services utilizing Sodexo?s Five Stars Dining and implementation of Sodexo?s Senior?s quality and standards. Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have experience in customer service, customer relations, managing diverse workforce, managing daily operations of food service area / restaurant / dining room/ food production, strong financial / PL knowledge, and experience in managing and developing staff and training. Fine Dining Restaurant / Resort /country club / retirement community Dining Room / FOH Management experience is preferred. The position will cover mainly lunch and dinner hours (approximately 10AM-8:00PM / Mon - Sun) The Executive Dining Manager I will be responsible for a staff up to 40, oversee sanitation, help with catering, resident / client relations and flex meal dining plans using Horizon (POS) system. Position Summary : Manages food preparation and service operations in the Executive Dining Room. Supports client relations efforts. Oversees staff hiring and training.
