Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking for an experienced c++ development manager to manage their core electronic trading technology development team - algo / automated trading technology.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 15-20+ developers working in all aspects of software development including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Manage, hire, retain and motivate the developers in the team
- Develop and implement short/long-term strategy to ensure state-of-the-art development/delivery technology standards
Skills Required:
- Track record of managing, hiring, retaining and motivating developers; 10-15+ of industry experience in development team management
- Expert C++ skills with experience in large scale real-time systems and deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux (shell scripting)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience developing high-frequency trading systems is a strong plus
- Knowledge of financial technologies (e.g. FIX protocol) and business applications useful though not required
