Executive Director, Asset & Capital Structuring UK

Asset Capital Structuring (ACS) is the Bank's principal investment team based within the Global Banking Markets Division. The ACS team is one of the fastest growing business units specifically focusing on: (i) equity/residual value positions in Transportation and Manufacturing assets; (ii) equity investments in green field Energy Infrastructure projects; and (iii) development of financial structures to promote key economic sectors.

The role:

The role is primarily to lead the UK ACS team's origination activities with UK based clients active in the Transportation (Aircraft, Shipping Rail) and other manufacturing industries. The investment products used would be both Spanish and UK operating leases, with the Bank taking a Residual Value stake in the assets and procuring 3rd party senior debt.

In addition it will be seen as a distinct advantage if the candidate also has experience in energy and/or infrastructure project investments, as business flow may dictate the candidate needing to also work on these types of transactions.

• Building a strong client network and originating leasing transactions in the Transportation and Manufacturing sectors

• An additional capability and experience in project investment preferred

• Structuring and modelling of transaction structures

• Undertaking due diligence on assets, projects and credit risk counterparties

• Securing internal approval from the relevant risk committees

• Raising 3rd party senior debt

• Negotiation and execution of transactions

• Selling down asset/residual value or project investments into the secondary investment market

• Analysis and development of new investment products, markets and business opportunities

 

The person:

• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in Asset Finance

• Proven ability and track record of originating high quality leasing transactions

• Additional experience in energy and/or infrastructure project investments seen as a significant additional advantage

• ACA or Masters post graduate qualification

• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well in a team and intercultural environment

• Strong financial modelling and accounting capabilities

• Strong organizational, research, and oral presentation skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Fast learning of new business and regulatory contexts

• Ability to thrive in a flexible, dynamic and demanding work environment demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach

• Availability to travel
