Executive Director/ Director – Real Estate Loan Asset Management recruitment

The role-holder will be responsible for the setting and executing of the Loan Asset Management strategy for a number of loans and will set strategies for recovery and resolution of all individual loans, and negotiating with borrowers and sponsors to achieve the desired outcome

Core responsibilities

Prepare business plans and periodic forecasts - as well as ad hoc reports, and implement and update the plans on an ongoing basis;

Oversee complex financial analyses, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses;

Provide transaction support for new portfolio acquisitions (i.e. develop underwriting cashflows, valuations and provide real-time comparables across all sub-asset classes and markets); Maintain an overview of economic and market conditions and understand their effects upon both the current portfolio and potential further acquisitions;

Develop and ensure execution of strategies to maximize the recovery and resolution of the pan European loan portfolio

Manage enforcement proceedings and legal claims (foreclosure, forced administration, insolvencies, professional negligence claims), ensure the protection of legal title on assets;

Manage rep and warranty rights provided in original sale agreements;

Manage negotiations with the borrowers sponsors, note holders and other involved parties;

Manage relationships with 3rd party servicers

Continuously assess results against business plans and periodically present to the investment committee

Prepare the Group to take on the management of new investments, including early involvement in the decision making process for portfolio acquisitions and due diligence, including the review and analysis of quantitative portfolio data, legal documents and other materials as part of project due diligence process;

Act as the link between the acquisition and asset management functions,

Coordinate interaction with Real Estate professionals to evaluate potential recoveries and to manage collaterals;

Establish policies, processes and management information structures to ensure that the function operates optimally and in common ways;

It is of crucial importance that the role holder develops an effective working relationship with other senior managers within the business.

Experience Required

Previous experience in commercial loan asset management. Ideally experienced in residential loan asset management as well as Commercial;

Deep analysis of Real?Estate backed loan portfolios using complex analytical models to determine the optimum strategy and plans for the assets;

Educated to degree level in business, economics or a related discipline.

Previous European Real Estate market experience is a pre-requisite for this position. Unfortunately we will not be able to interview candidates who do not possess this.
