Executive Director, Meaningful Use Program Job in Oakland, California Us
This leader is responsible for managing and driving successful execution of Kaiser Permanente's Meaningful Use (MU) national program. The individual will be responsible for the development and execution of business and IT plans to qualify Kaiser Permanente's regions as (MU) criteria as established by the Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). This leader will work with executives and broad community of interest in a highly visible role for our Program.
Essential Functions:
- Manage Meaningful Use workstreams across the Program in conjunction with track leads
- Establish effective regional engagement partnerships to ensure MU qualification
- Establish effective program-level partnership relationships with KP HealthConnect, Quality, and other program-wide committees and forums needed to support MU qualification
- Represent Hospitals, Quality Care Delivery Excellence and KP in appropriate forums across the program and outside of Kaiser Permanente
- Manage implementation, tracking and reporting to monitor progress of achievements against targets and goals
- Oversee national reporting team and program-wide reporting solutions
- Design, execute and maintain annual CMS attestation process including supporting documentation and internal sub-attestations
- Partner with National Medicare Finance and Natnioal Compliance to conduct finance accruals and internal audits
- Lead, empower, develop a highly-experienced team in a direct and matrixed relationship in order to accomplish MU objectives
- Partner with others across the Program to leverage resources and define work priorities based on the MU criteria
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Work Experience - minimum of 10 years
- Operations or operations support experience, ambulatory and inpatient
- IT experience in designing and implementing clinical, patient administration and business systems - minimum
- Prior experience managing large programs
- Functional/Technical Knowledge Skills - all minimum of 7 years
- Strong understanding/knowledge of health care operations and IT capabilities
- Excellent program/project management - must have a 'can do' attitude
- Broad knowledge of KP HealthConnect functionality and reporting capabilities
