Executive, ‘In House M&A’/ Corporate Development – FTSE company recruitment

Our client in a really successful FTSE business, in the consumer space. They are now looking to add an 'in house' MA professional to their team, to work on the execution of acqusitions for the business.

The role will 

(1) support the Group Development Manager in the corporate finance activities of the Group

(2) support the implementation of the Group’s strategy and objectives through effective implementation of business proposals and the management and execution of acquisitions and disposals

(3) assist in the origination of potential acquisitions for the Group

 Responsibilities include:

To support the implementation of the strategic and business objectives of the Group and divisions

To assist the business units in preparation of business plans for acquisitions and organic investments

To review submissions and recommend to the head of department, CEO and CFO the acceptance, modification or rejections of those plans prior to submission to the Board for approval

Make recommendations to the CEO and CFO, for presentation to the Board

To originate, investigate and recommend acquisiti ons and disposals in line with Group strategy for CEO, CFO and Board approval

To manage and execute all aspects of acquisitions and disposals

 Skills and experience required:

MA professional from an investment bank or the TS/ Corporate finance advisory team of a leading Big Four firm

Incisive analytical skills, numerate with an ability to build and review financial models and to interpret financial information and make recommendations

Articulate and capable of producing and reviewing business plans and proposals and to make recommendations

Experienced to see the broader commercial consequences of recommendations and actions. Capable of rapidly understanding a wide range of vertical market environments

Maturity, confidence and ability to build relationships both internally with Directors and CEOs and externally with professional advisers and other company officials at the highest level

Independent, with the ability to work with infrequent and/or distant supervision

Experience of working internationally, in diverse cultural environments. Languages useful
