Executive Manager Group Advisory
Group Advisory is an internal strategy consulting team that assists business owners across the Group to shape and develop business improvement ideas. The team works closely with business owners in the 'early stage' of project initiatives. Typical activities include shaping and developing business improvement and growth opportunities, evaluating strategic options and engaging stakeholders to build consensus around recommendations.
In this high profile role an Executive Manager you will provide dedicated, hands-on support to help business owners transform business ideas into practical solutions, provide an independent view and facilitate Business Unit and Group-wide collaboration. You will also foster close working relationships with the business and deliver quality project outcomes. You will be viewed as a trusted adviser and support the development and growth of the Group Advisory team through team advocacy and actively promoting the team's capabilities across the Group.
Responsibilities will include:
- Engaging senior stakeholders to build buy-in and consensus to project approach and recommended solutions
- Conducting diagnostics, including financial analysis, to analyse current state business situations and identify opportunities for improvement
- Evaluating of strategic options and ability to persuasively communicate solution recommendations
- Synthesising findings and determining implications and the most appropriate course of action for the Bank
- Conducting research (e.g. of new concepts, 'best practice' industry trends, competitor strategies)
- Developing of future state models based on research and current state findings
- Project managing 'early stage' initiatives
- Developing business cases as required
- High level implementation planning
To be successful in your application you must have:
- 10+ years management consulting experience (within a tier 1 or big 4 consultancy firm or an in-house role)
- Solid experience in financial services
- Ability to think broadly and apply structured thinking to complex problems to determine the optimal outcome for the business
- Ability to break down and analyse complex business problems
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of clients across different business areas
- Ability to build personal credibility and influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to quickly come up to speed in new and often ambiguous environments
- Motivate and coach team members and project staff
