The Division
Group Performance Management reports direct to our Group CFO and is responsible for analysing and advising on Group wide LOB business performance and development projects. The Group Performance Management is a highly motivated and energetic group of individuals and this is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional individual to join as Executive Manager Performance Analysis.
The Role
This role sits in a high profile, high performing team with extensive exposure to the Group CFO and Group CEO. As a key member of a team you will work with the EGM Performance Management and Group CFO to critically evaluate and challenge the financial plans and performance of the Groups business units.
This will involve the formulation of articulate and succinct Board level reports profiling the underlying performance of the business units in the context of industry and economic trends and relevant impacts. In particular, you will lead independent forensic analysis and investigation of business unit performance and trends; establish budgets, budget targets and 3 year plans; monitor performance against budget, rolling reforecasts and identified risk opportunities; and identify and advise on emerging risks to the senior management team and business leaders.
You must demonstrate absolute commitment to high level accuracy and rigour in all written and verbal communication with senior level executives. Well developed communication and influencing skills will be essential to you interacting effectively with key stakeholders including Group CFO and CEO.
Key requirements:
- Exposure to financial services including banking, general insurance or life risk.
Relevant Tertiary degree (eg Accounting, Finance, Business) with minimum 6 years senior level experience ? CA, CPA or MBA desirable - Proven background within financial reporting and modelling
- Exemplary communication and influencing skills will be essential to you interacting effectively with key stakeholders including Group CFO and CEO, business leaders (EGM/EM) and line of business CFOs.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills with ability to synthasise information into succinct and articulate reports
- Ability to work within a team and take ownership and accountability will be crucial to your success.
