The team
The Strategy and Business Development team is responsible for facilitating the development of the RBS strategy and progressing key strategic and business development initiatives. It does this by working collaboratively with the RBS Leadership Team and other key stakeholders across the business.
The opportunity
The Executive Manager RBS Strategy and Business Development manages the strategic agenda within RBS by facilitating the development of strategy and alignment of projects to the RBS strategy. In particular, the role will contribute to:
- Identifying and exploring areas for growth and improvement across RBS
- Align and prioritise investment opportunities (including projects, acquisitions and industry initiatives)
- Lead and drive RBS-wide and cross-BU initiatives

- You undertake research based analysis, conduct strategic studies, analyse business performance and identify value creation opportunities
- You build strategic capability within the broader team
- You operate as a pragmatic advisor to projects/programs/managers
What will help you succeed?
- Experience from a management consulting firm and/or in house within Banking and Financial Services
- A strong strategic tool kit
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Advanced commercial acumen
- Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
