Westwood Partners is a retained executive search boutique focused exclusively on the financial services industry. Since its inception 10 years ago, Westwood has grown to over 30 people in New York, becoming one of the most successful boutiques in the US.  Westwood seeks to replicate its success globally and has launched an Asia-Pacific subsidiary headquartered in Singapore.  As such, we are looking for an Assistant to primarily support and work alongside the Head of our Singapore office. 

He/She will provide project and administration support to the rest of the Westwood Asia team.  Specifically, he/she will be involved in all administrative aspects of the executive search process including database administration, basic research, document preparation and management, candidate/client scheduling, and invoicing and expensing, among other tasks. 

The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of administrative experience in roles requiring strong project management skills.  Prior experience in a service-oriented industry is preferred but not critical and prior experience in either the financial services industry or in executive search would be ideal.  In addition, local knowledge of and experience in Asia-Pacific (e.g., languages, cultural appreciation, travel) is highly preferred. 

The candidate must also have:

        • Legal right to work in Singapore

• Experience dealing with people at all levels of an organization.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to both give and receive complex and sensitive information in both verbal and written communications.

• Strong listening skills, with the ability to grasp concepts quickly.

• Versatility to go beyond the basic parameters of his/her job when necessary.

• Excellent organization skills and an extreme attention to detail.

• Ability to manage a demanding workload, balance multiple tasks, and prioritize projects.

• Common sense to ask clarifying questions that allow the effective prioritization of projects and deliverables.

• Creativity when given a task/request that is difficult to complete.

• A natural tendency to do what he/she can to proactively anticipate the needs of those he/she supports.

• A reliable nature and strong follow-through on tasks. 

• A team orientation, including the willingness to pitch in and help out on team efforts even when it is not his/her area of responsibility.

• Professionalism in how he/she conducts his/herself and speaks to/emails others internally and externally. 

• Proficient knowledge of all MS Office products.

• Minimum keyboarding skills of 60wpm.

• Experience with data entry and/or proprietary databases.

• Experience with basic research and knowledge of Bloomberg a plus
