Executive, Transactions Modelling – Edinburgh recruitment

The Transactions Modelling team focuses on delivering sophisticated financial models to support the planning and execution of financial transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, and mergers of companies, divisions, or assets (MA), buy-outs (LBOs, LBIs, MBOs), Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Project Finance Initiatives (PPP-PFI), Private Equity and, more generally, any financial transaction requiring the assessment of the viability of investments.  We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, numerate, logical thinkers, and with a strong passion for financial modelling, problem solving and corporate finance.

Your responsibilities as a Transactions Modelling Executive will include:

- As an Executive, you will be exposed to an array of different transactions and industries whilst working side by side with some of the best professionals in the fields of financial modelling and corporate finance. You will be working with colleagues from VBM and the wider TAS team, as well as with some of the most interesting clients in the investment banking world and in industry.

Qualifications/skills you’ll need as a Transactions Modelling Executive:

- The successful candidate will have a high level of business awareness and a strong understanding of the factors that drive financial performance.

- Attention to detail coupled with the ability to "step back" and see the bigger picture are also important characteristics

- An accounting qualification (CA or equivalent),

- A sound grasp of UK GAAP and/or IFRS and previous experience in financial modelling would be an advantage.

-Experience of working in a professional services environment would be a distinct advantage
