Executive/Manager – Economic Advisory – Power and Utilities recruitment

Ernst and Young's Economic Advisory team of over 40 Economists, is now looking to expand significantly on its existing economics practice to capture exciting opportunities, particularly within the Power and Utility sectors. As a result, we are looking for skilled post-graduates or equivalent professionals with experience in economics to grow our team to the next level.

Ernst Young's Economics Advisory team provide deep sector knowledge with strong technical skills in economics, econometrics and quantitative analysis to address key issues in strategy, regulation, competition, planning, valuation and government policy.

Your responsibilities as an Executive/Manager in Economic Advisory will include:

-Providing or contributing to economic analysis as part of client engagements

-Preparing and presenting clear reports to support these analyses and solutions

-Demonstrating a strong understanding of Excel and other suitable solution platforms.

Qualifications/skills you'll need as an Executive/Manager in Economic Advisory:

- Substantial experience as an economist/corporate planner in the Power and Utilities industries employed in the private, regulatory or the public policy sector

- Highly numerate and analytical Master-level Economics graduate

-Strong academic and professional background in Economics, Business or Industrial Economics or Econometrics

-Experience of competition and regulatory economics, strategy, business planning, costing and pricing

-Experience of applying economic theory to the development and evaluation of public and regulatory policy

-Experience of economic impact assessment

-Experience in Power and Utilities sector.
