Exelon Wind Engineering Specialist - Regional OM - Minnesota/Oregon
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Performs instrumented tests and surveys using existing/new procedures to verify that system performance meets product operating specifications. Supports assigned product service groups in validation and verification process as associated with turbine operation/production requirements. Provides problem identification and resolution, corrective action and tracking of reliability issues. Accountable for assigned sites to assure services are executed to Exelon Wind Operations and Maintenance requirements. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES - Manage region commissioning and operation process to report and document status on a daily basis. - Coordinate schedules and performs field operations and/or lab site tests to validate turbine operating requirements. - Analyzes test data of moderate complexity, draws conclusions and summarizes reports. - Develops programs for data acquisition as need arises under direction from engineering. - Collects and installs instrumentation for test. - Compiles test reports that document turbine procedures and communicates results and guidance to the operations center. - Assists in developing operating procedures changes to optimize turbines continuous improvement projects. Complete procedure and process documentation for various aspects of Wind Turbine OM requirements. - Monitor and dispatch 3rd party services as needed to stay on schedule with Wind site components schedule services. POSITION SCOPE - Position reports to Manager, Operations and Maintenance - Advisor role - No direct reports POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: 1 Associate degree in Technical field and 1-3 years Engineering experience. 2 Knowledge of applicable discipline codes and standards 3 Product design, test and/or analysis experience. 4 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal 5 Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products Preferred: 1 BS in Engineering with 2+ years professional experience DISCLAIMER The preceding position description is intended to provide the general nature and level of work to be performed by employees within this classification.
