Job Description Exercise Specialist PRN - PSL Medical Center-03166-30186 Primary Location: United States-Colorado-Denver Job: Therapy Rehabilitation Schedule: Full-time Description This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke's Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus of medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The rehab services Exercise Specialist, under the supervision of the manager, prepares patients for and assists therapists in treatment, instructs patients in exercise techniques, proper use of equipment, and general fitness, demonstrates a good working knowledge of treatment techniques, maintains the PT and OT department in a clean and orderly fashion, communicates appropriate patient information, assures adequate stock of supplies and performs clerical duties. When needs arise, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: : . I. Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: CPR certification required within 6 months of hire. B. Education: BS in related field such as Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biology. C. Experience: no experience required D. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other allied health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Good critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate using auditory input and output
