Exotic Commodity Trader – Tier One Investment Bank
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are working with a top investment bank that is looking to hire a junior/mid-level trader in their exotic commodity business in London. The team is one of the very best commodity groups in the market in terms of revenues, platform and franchise. One area that they are looking to grow is their exotics business due to the strength of their franchise.
The ideal candidate will be working within in a similar exotic commodities role at one of the leading banks in the space. The hire is at Associate - VP level so the successful candidate is likely to have 2-4 years’ experience in the space. Due to the nature of the role and group, they are looking for candidates who combine a very strong technical skill set with strong commercial acumen.
Requirements
- 2-4 years direct trading experience within commodity markets, any commodity is accepted.
- A background in trading of exotic/complex commodities across any product leading to an excellent commercial understanding of the markets.
- Excellent technical skill set, typically educated to MSc / PhD level in a highly quantitative subject at a top tier University.
- Working in a market leading team in the secured funding / strategic transactions space.
