Overview:

Deutsche Bank's Rates Exotics Hybrids business has been consistently ranked in the Top 3 by its peers and competitors. It is one of the most profitable businesses within Global Rates and continues to expand its product coverage in order to maintain this position. At a macro level, the business can be divided into the following sub-desks:

* European Flow Rates Options
* FX Hybrid
* Multi-Asset Hybrid
* Inflation

The TMG group is comprised of bookrunners (or Risk PnL Controllers) supporting the abovementioned sub-desks. Bookrunners ensure that all Trading Activity is booked promptly within the Bank's Trade Capture platforms and for running the valuation engine that prices the portfolios and generates the relevant risk metrics. Outputs are used by all Traders to manage their portfolios, as well as by many downstream groups for regulatory / internal submissions, client reporting and controls.

In this role it will be your main responsibility to act as 2nd in command to the Head of the Rates Exotics Risk and Pnl Group. You will also be responsible for providing guidance to the team in resolving daily risk and PL Production issues. You will face off to senior management in TMG and relevant business partners (described below) and to generate an independent set of Risk and PnL outputs for a given set of portfolios in a controlled framework, with appropriate communication and escalation of issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

* Production of Flat Risk positions at close of business and full Risk sensitivities computed overnight for review on T+1, prior to publication to Front Office and other downstream users.
* A complete review of Portfolio Activity, to ensure the validity of any New Trades, Amendment or other action has been accurately captured and correctly attributed.
* Derivation of a fully attributed PL, in order to validate the daily change in Portfolio value, Positions and New Activity. Initial review of Balance sheet submissions in order to provide Finance with appropriate level of scrutiny prior to their Formal sign off.
* Bookrunners liaise continuously with front office and business management to help in the development of the product range which Deutsche Bank offers its clients. Frequently this will require involvement in project work. The supervisor will need to have the right level of maturity and confidence to coach, mentor and develop junior bookrunners and also be capable of building strong relationships with our key Business Partners including but not limited to Front Office, business Management, Risk IT, Market Risk Management, IPV, Finance/Financial Control, Collateral, Margining and Valuation (CMV) Groups.

You will have:

* Postgraduate/MBA Qualification preferable with strong Maths/Quantitative/Finance bias.
* Proven banking experience within a Rates Exotics Product Control Environment.
* An understanding of all the key components of the products they have had exposure to, including an appreciation of the risk payoffs of interest rate derivatives and how these interrelate within a Risk-based PnL attribution framework.
* Strong knowledge of Rates Derivatives (both vanilla and exotics) is required. Consideration will be given to candidates from other Exotics/Complex product backgrounds to the extent that they can demonstrate how their current product knowledge can be leveraged in understanding Rates Exotics and Hybrids derivatives.
* Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and multi task effectively.
* Ability to be hands-on and be prepared to 'deep' dive into problems as they arise. This will include (but not limited) to assisting bookrunners with daily production/ Run the Bank (RTB) issues, running books as part of learning the full front to back Rates Exotics Trade Capture/Risk PnL infrastructure.
* Experience at managing a group of 5-7 pnl controllers.
* Knowledge of MS Office Apps, VBA.
