Portfolio Recovery Associates is a fifteen year old, publicly traded company (NASDAQ-PRAA) that purchases and manages portfolios of defaulted consumer receivables and provides a broad range of accounts receivable management services. We are currently recruiting for a Help Desk Analyst, to join our IT department located in Hutchinson, KS.

 

The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for providing remote and local information systems support for end users in a Windows network environment. Candidates will be expected to have experience with the following:

 

Identifying requirements by interviewing customers; analyzing applications, programming and operations; evaluating existing and proposed systems recommending solutions.

 

Establishing system upgrades by planning and implementing desktop rollout projects; installing hardware and software.

 

Maintaining installation records by documenting procedures used.

 

Resolving problems by conferring with vendors; providing support for desktop environment; consulting with and training users.

 

Improving system performance by investigating current environment; recommending solutions; integrating standard solutions.

 

Maintaining quality service by defining desktop standards, establishing and enforcing organization standards.

 

Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Qualifications for this position include past Help Desk experience in a similar capacity, previous Tier II level help desk experience, and experience with active directory.  The applicant must have past experience working with Microsoft Office, Windows and Outlook Mail knowledge from a usage perspective.  You must have an Associate's degree (A.S.) from two-year College in information technology or related degree and/or equivalent combination of certifications (A+/ MCP).  You should possess effective communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
