Experienced Network Architect for a Proprietary Trading House recruitment
A reputable proprietary trading house is looking to hire an experienced Network Architect.
The firm focus on research and development of quantitative models which work together in order to identify trading patterns within the markets and then exploit them. These profits are obtained from inefficiencies in the prices of electronically traded financial instruments across the globe. The ever changing landscape of the markets requires them to continually make significant investments in research and technology resources.
The successful candidate will work closely with the quantitative traders, programmers and senior management to provide a high performance, robust and reliable infrastructure.
The successful candidate will work closely with the quantitative traders, programmers and senior management to provide a high performance, robust and reliable infrastructure.
The focus will be on the following:
-Managing the design, implementation and administration of the “Cisco Network Infrastructure” for the entire firm.
-Manage the process for CPU Intensive real-time calculations which need to be performed for research.
-Manage the market data networks as well as security.
-Aid in the establishing of network connectivity.
This is situated within “Network Services Strategic Infrastructure”. You must be a Linux specialist.
The successful candidate will also have the following skills:
-Cisco certified.
-Deep understanding of Linux Systems
-Experience building networks, particularly where performance has been a key focus.
-Broad knowledge of a wide range of data centre technologies.
