My client is looking for an experienced Training Coordinator to work on their opencut coal operation located in the Bowen Basin, in Central Queensland.
Reporting to the Senior Training Coordinator you will be responsible for:
• Providing quality training and assessing services in compliance with the SSE's requirements, industry standards and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
• Identify and implement opportunities to achieve best practice training processes that ensure that all employees can consistently achieve high levels of skills to allow for safe efficient operations at the mine.
• Facilitate mobile equipment training/assessing and mentor, coach and coordinate the activities and work practices of the crew trainers/assessors ensuring they are in accordance with statutory, safety and environmental requirements and company procedures.
Ideally you will have the following:
• Certificate IV Trainer Assessor (TAA) certificate, or similar qualification MNCG1001A, MNCG1008A MNCG1009A (formerly S1,S2,S3)
• Significant experience within the open cut environment, in particular within mobile equipment operations field
• Solid understanding of relative training systems and relative assessment tools
• Adequate knowledge of Coal Industry legislation
• Good communication, mentoring skills and ability to build strong relationships across an operation
