Job Description Eaton Corporation in Marshall, MI has an opening for an Experimental Driver. The primariy function of this position is the operation of commercial vehicles for testing and demonstration of Eaton Vehicle Group Commercial Vehicle Transmissions. This position is also responsible for routine vehicle maintenance and providing supervison of contract drivers. Essential Functions: A. Maintain a satisfactory and safe driving record B. Effective communication skills C. Minimum of 2 years of heavy duty truck driving experience D. Class A CDL endorsement E. Flexible working hours (i.e. 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts) F. Mechanical aptitude with an ability to use hand tools for routine maintenance and checking vehicle fluids G. Provide supervision and direction to contract drivers. H. Customer interaction skills I. Ability to use diagnostic tools for system troubleshooting ( i.e. Service Ranger, Dearborn and Nexiq) J. Ability to install and make minor changes to control software K. Mechanical skills such as ability to change out transmission and clutch components for as requested (i.e. ECA, XY, ECU and drivelines) L. Provide full support to Vehicle Group as requested Preferred/Additional Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position): ? Customer satisfaction ? Conflict Resolution ? Team building ? Triple endorsement and construction truck experience is a plus (I.e. dump trucks cement mixer) ? Associate degree Additional Information: Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for testing, demonstration and maintenance. Maintain travel logs according to federal and state DOT regulations. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Valid CDL with no citations Class A CDL endorsement A minimum of 2 years of heavy duty truck driving experience
