The Organisation
Our client is an international leading logistics provider. They service their clients with logistics solutions of outstanding quality and excellence.
The Role
Duties responsibilities will include
- You will ensure completion of all Export Documentation and ensure compliance for all destination countries shipping from Cork Amsterdam, in line with each countries specific rules and regulations.
- You will ensure all documentation is 100% accurate before departure of goods from Ireland.
- You will ensure all procedures and processes allow for changes in Export Countries Legislation.
- You will respond to all queries in a timely manner with accurate and complete information.
- You will respond positively to change by re-engineering procedures/practices
- You will be responsible for preparation of Weekly, Monthly Quarterly Reports.
- You will ensure that all staff operates within Health and Safety and Security policy.
- You will consistently develop effective relationships with key individuals in client companies when required and attend client meetings.
- You will ensure all customer issues are resolved and responded to in a proactive timely manner
- You will manage your team to ensure they understand and meet customer objectives/requests.
- You will provide training, guidance and assistance to staff.
- You will use performance management tools for direct reports and ensure that training development occurs to enhance team skill sets.
- You will initiate, develop and implement process improvement programs together with the key personnel.
- You will constantly review manage processes and procedures that enable the business unit to operate to a “Best in Class” quality standards.
- You will manage continuous improvement processes at an operational level.
The Individual
- You will have a minimum of 4 years experience in a management / supervisory role in a busy Supply Chain / Logistics / Distribution office environment.
- You will have proven people management, leadership and organisational skills.
- You will be an experienced team manager.
- As a result of your experience, you will fully understand the role of a service provider.
- You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook).
- You will have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills and will be a focused self starter.
- You will have strong numerical and analytical skills.
- You have a keen eye for detail and always quality focussed.
- You have the ability to establish credibility and influence rapidly and be an effective people motivator with a wide range of individuals.
- You will be experienced in liaising with different departments and other third parties.
