My client is a global leader in the electrical market. Due to expansion into a new market sector they have created an exciting opportuntiy for an Export Manager.

The objective of the role is the development of new and existing key accounts in the territories and the development of market knowledge to ensure that our products maximise their potential.

Essentially the role is to build sales and profitability in the territory and find and implement new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will ideally have:- Excellent communications and networking skills, they should also be an enthusiastic self starter with strong Export selling experience. It would be of beneficial for the candidate to have a technical qualification preferably a HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering. A hands-on approach is essential and the candidate should have an international outlook and demonstrable commercial awareness. Knowledge of languages would be a benefit.
Key Roles and Responsibilites include:

1.         Researching appointing new Export Distributors/OEMs/Direct Accounts whilst developing and managing existing key export customers/accounts.

2.         Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.

3.         Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.

4.         Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.

5.         Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
