Expressions of Interest – Quality Advice Assurance Manager

WM Advice is the Commonwealth Bank's financial planning business and is made up of Commonwealth Financial Planning, Advice Essentials, Financial Wisdom, Whittaker Macnaught, Count Financial and Bankwest Financial Advice. Across these businesses we have over 1,800 dedicated Financial Advisers providing advice to more than 500,000 clients.
The Advice Licensee Services team in WM Advice is responsible for making it easier for our Financial Advisers to deliver quality advice and service to their customers. We do this by ensuring we listen to the needs of Advisers, building robust processes and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
The Role
This exciting role will see you working in the newly created Quality Advice Assurance (QAA) team in Advice Licensee Services in WM Advice.
The QAA team is responsible for assessing the compliance of Advisers with key regulatory obligations and quality advice standards, and identifying and raising training gaps and opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes.
Reporting to a QAA Senior Manager, you will be responsible for conducting a range of Adviser support activities including but not being limited to: reviewing advice files and in some cases, observing client interviews; providing feedback; setting remediation activities with Practice Managers; and assisting Managers to understand the actions that are required to be completed.
With your QAA team colleagues, your important role will be to create an environment that encourages Advisers to take full ownership of risk within the business by enabling them to operate in a "safe-to-speak up" culture, provide customers with quality advice and maintain high professional standards.
Skills Experience

To be a strong a candidate for this role, you need to have:
- 3+ years' experience in the Financial Services industryas a Financial Adviser, or in a Risk Compliance or Relationship management role,
- RG146 accreditation
- Bachelor's degree in Business Mgmt, Financial Mgmt, Financial Advice or other relevant field - desirable
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to provide constructive feedback
- Experience in conducting coaching and/or training exercises, desirable
