Job Description
The Exterior Lighting Engineer is responsible for the designing and release of forward and signal lighting components and systems. To be successful, this individual will also coordinate styling inputs in manufacturing feasibility, interface with vehicle validation integration teams, lead suppliers in design development activities, coordinate night drives appearance reviews, develop DFMEA's DVPR's and execute them through the development cycle, participate in DV/PV testing will be required to periodically present product development status to peers management.
The Exterior Lighting Engineer will be also responsible for developing core lighting best practices through benchmarking, DFSS projects, etc., maintaining best practice database, which includes product design checklists, supporting of the quality organization in root cause analysis vehicle regulatory compliance for exterior lighting systems. Maintaining of overall program timing is the key to a successful vehicle launch an ideal candidate will know how to meet critical project deadlines throughout program development.
