External Wholesaler
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the Institutional Sales and Relationship Management team to maximize territory sales and retention efforts.
- Calling on regional managers, local managers and producer level advisors on assigned platforms.
- Representing Driehaus and its products to advisors knowledgeably and effectively so that advisors can clearly identify the benefits of the products relative to its competitors.
- Maintaining heavy travel schedule within territory to conduct client meetings and presentations.
- Referring institutional opportunities (discretionary program opportunities or other lump sum mandates) to Institutional Sales and Relationship Management team.
- Attending industry conferences and regional events to generate additional interest in Driehaus products.
- Maintaining current knowledge of all markets and Driehaus analytics and market commentaries.
- Providing exceptional customer service consistent with client expectations.
- Entering and maintaining data in the contact management system to properly track all sales efforts, client contacts and any other necessary information.
- Working with internal departments and investment teams to increase the quality of communication with assigned clients.
Requirements:
- Must reside and have established relationships in assigned region (Northeast).
- Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of applicable sales experience.
- Must have deep and broad experience in equity, credit and alternative investment asset classes, mutual fund vehicles and the fundamentals of investment strategy and asset allocation.
- In depth knowledge of intermediary platform/advisor distribution channels and proven track record of success building assets therein (will be required to provide sales data).
- Must be a strong presenter, as both a product technical expert and in the value added areas of investment strategy.
- Strong analytical, organizational and formal presentation skills geared to individuals and large groups.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sales and marketing, business development, client relations, account management, investment products and services is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, driven, honest, hard working and able to apply practical judgment based on experience.
- NASD Licenses 7, 24 or 26, and 63 are ideal. MBA, CFA or CFP designation is a plus.
- Travel necessary as business opportunities dictate.
