Description

Supervise and review the work of the Control Specialists. Responsible for all aspects of the Control group process to include compliance, monthly and YTD reporting and fund survey reporting. Provide direct assistance t the Control Accounting Manger and serve as a focal point for client and staff information. Coordinate activities between the Control Group and all other BNY Mellon Centers of Excellence. Provides support and training to staff when required.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND INFLUENCE:CLIENT CONTACTS: Maintains effective contact at various levels in the organization. Begins to build external client contacts and is regularly available and responsive to their business needs. Seeks feedback from clients to ensure that expectations are met.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBLILITY: Manages the employees of a small department or work group of approximately 11-24 people.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBLILITY: Guides the successful completion of moderate projects and may function in a project leadership role.

LEADERSHIP: Plans/allocates the activities of a small work group or project team comprised of employees with similar areas of expertise and goals. Mentors/trains others; acts as a role model for team work in the organization.

PROBLEM SOLVING: Applies knowledge to determine solutions to complex problems with minimal direction. Uses research and analysis to develop innovative solutions.

IMPACT: Decisions directly influence project completion, client relationships and/or expenditures.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE: Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within a professional field. Integrates and evaluates new advancements in the industry to coordinate and contribute to successful business results.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceBachelor's degree Major: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics.

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four years.
