We're looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities team. You'll provide crucial support to the Canberra office to enable efficient operations and focus on providing the best possible service to our clients.
As part of our facilities team, you'll develop your skills by providing support services to our staff and clients. Your experience in business communication will help you to build effective relationships with important stakeholders and senior leaders. You'll have autonomy and clear responsibilities, working in our friendly, collaborative environment. Your talents will be respected and you'll be supported in developing the career path you choose.
About you
In your role as a Facilities Assistant you'll:
- Assist the Facilities Office Manager with day to day management of the office
- Share reception and switchboard duties
- Prepare payment requisitions for payment of supplier invoices
- Assist with the programming of staff security access cards
- Log and follow up service suppliers for office repairs and maintenance
- Manage the daily mail and courier services to and from the office
- Be responsible for maintaining supplies of copier paper, toner, general and printed stationery
- Assist with requests from staff for printing, binding and laminating documents
- Ensure all areas of the office comply with OHS requirements
We're looking for people with the following experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional services environment
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A self motivated team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
