Sodexo Construction Services is seeking a Office Engineer to assist the Project Manager in providing overall office management and direction of projects. This position will be located at our office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills (knowledge of MS Office Suite applications), organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. A self-starter is required with the ability to think pro-actively and work independently is needed. A significant amount of duties will focus on supporting a variety of projects for all OU Medical System locations. Candidates will be expected to perform the following tasks, but not limited to: - Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of construction. - Schedules due dates for drawings, specifications, and other documents. - Monitors status of project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule. - Reviews and verifies project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with contract requirements. - Submits project documentation to management for approval, and transmits approved documents to customer. - Confers with engineers, managers, customers, and others to discuss project, prepare documents, or modify contract schedules. Will track and report on a variety of proprietary systems and processes. Willingness and ability to learn new proprietary technology (software platforms, etc.) is needed along with strong interpersonal skills (verbal communications), as well as the ability to craft written communications as needed. Ideal experience will include a four year Construction Management Engineering degree or equivalent, plus office (three or more years) experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required. Must be able to apply innovation and effective management techniques to maximize subcontractor performance. Thorough understanding of healthcare industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, professionalism, etc.) skills are essential. Position Summary : Supervises hourly staff providing facilities maintenance and engineering services to client. Responsible for work force planning, QA training, and administrative functions of the designated area of supervision. Typically reports to GM or Ops Manager.
