About This Position
Our Client is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to provide leadership and direction to site staff and to ensure contractual compliance is achieved within your allocated portfolio.
 
You will possess a minimum of five years experience as a Facilities Manager and possess a Degree or Trade equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering. Facilities Maintenance Management and/or Property Management qualifications will be highly regarded.  You will have significant experience in contract management, tendering subcontracts, current OHS training, QA and environmental legislation and systems.  You will also possess thorough knowledge of building services legislation and standards as well as commercial and retail leases and the Retail Leases and Trade Practices Acts.

To be considered for this role you will have excellent computer skills utilising the MS Office programs as well as industry specific software.  Your existing knowledge of finances, budgets and business plans will assist you in this role as will your excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will also possess excellent organisation, problem solving and negotiation skills. The ability to build and maintain successful relationships with clients and colleagues is required. 

Key duties will include but not limited to;
• Ensure the project has a 24 hour emergency call-out service
• Guide and motivate facilities management staff
• Respond to reported issues and provide effective solutions
• Attend client meetings in relation to the operation of the building
• Prepare annual operating budgets
• Review and approve invoices for services
• Monitor and manage KPI’s as required by management
• Track and monitor training and licences on an ongoing basis
• Prepare and submit monthly client reports and internal monthly contract reports
• Ongoing review of the projects operating costs and reforecast changes as required
• Supervise the contracts to ensure works are being performed to the highest standard
• Implement and maintain an asset register of all plant and equipment, stock, maintenance activities and cost history of the project
• Conduct maintenance inspections of plant and equipment providing the clients with an annual report
• Regular site inspections and preparation of reports outlining any associated risks
