Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the successful delivery of assigned projects related to facilities design, construction, remodeling, land acquisition, and site development.  All phases of project management including planning, design, cost estimating, budget control, permitting, construction, scheduling, reporting, problem solving are required. 

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all phases of site acquisition, construction, and/or remodel projects to include planning, design, cost estimating, bidding, budget control, permitting, construction, scheduling, reporting, and problem solving
* Ensure budgets are effectively developed and managed; invoices are reviewed and paid in a timely manner; and expenses are controlled per budget and plan.
* Effectively negotiate contracts, leases, and bids
* Provide monitoring and oversight on construction of all assigned projects, assuring work is performed efficiently, effectively, and safely, and that all contract deliverables are received.
* Work with department managers and senior management to determine acquisition, construction, and remodel goals.* Provide administrative assistance to the department.
* Prepare bid packages for design and/or construction services; prepare requests for proposals; evaluate proposals, and prepare purchase recommendations and contract documents as appropriate.
*  Supervision of staff to include hiring, developing, mentoring, and discipline activities.  Effective leadership skills required
* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
* BA degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other relevant field
* Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
* Requires ability to travel to various job sites and possible over- night stay

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
* Building systems design and construction experience; ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications.
* Site and land acquisition and development experience.
* Extensive knowledge of corporate and construction budgeting processes, project estimating/budgeting, and cost control practices
* Extensive project management experience
* Supervisory experience
* Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
* Proficient computer skills relevant to position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours)
* Ability to perform repetitive finger, hand, and arm movements
* Ability to lift 25lbs.
* Ability to clearly hear, see, think, and speak
* Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action
* Ability to reach, squat, bend, and manually manipulate standard office equipment
* Ability to bend, reach, crouch, walk, push, pull, and carry objects.
* Ability to drive to remote locations
