Facility Electrical Engineer / Plant Electrical Engineer
Our client, a manufacturer of consumer packaged goods, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis. This position requires all interested candidates possess their Professional Engineer Designation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute equipment replacement and cost savings projects as per best practices and forecast fiscal year capital plans
- Responsible for Production Equipment upgrades – Plastic film processing systems, Conveyor systems, Robotic systems, Plastic Extrusion systems, and Control systems.
- Provide technical support for the Operations group by troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution.
- Support annual base business goals regarding Safety, Quality, Operating Costs, Energy Conservation, Environmental Stewardship and quarterly capital cash-flow.
- Responsible for facility – HVAC, Air distribution systems and Power distribution systems
- Implementation of site productivity and reliability plans, including participation on teams focusing on WCO strategies.
Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering degree with 5 – 10 years in a Manufacturing environment involving Consumer Packaged Goods. PMP preferred and PEO required.
- Ability to think strategically and communicate on a cross-functional basis, balancing long-term strategic issues and short-term tactical issues.
- Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead teams, implement significant initiatives and drive toward “world class” performance.
- Demonstrates flexibility in a changing work environment, and demonstrates confidence and personal drive to obtain desired results.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, MS Project and PowerPoint
