Facility Supervisor
The duties of the Facility Supervisor shall consist of those jobs necessary, but not limited to, hands on work and supervision of employees for water quality testing, process control, being on call, capital planning and budgeting, OM planning and budgeting adherence to Capital and Operating budgets, adherence to established and developed laboratory practices to insure that the water produced by Aqua Illinois, inc. is in compliance with applicable water quality regulations and internal standards. Directly responsible for customer service metrics and creation and maintenance of standard operational procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the Northern Division Manager. Incumbent follows manuals, directives, instructions and usual procedures in performance of duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for the following functions:
1. Water quality testing; raw, in-process, finished and distribution water.
2. Operation of laboratory instrumentation.
3. Operation of the wastewater treatment facility as assigned.
4. Process testing throughout the wastewater treatment process.
5. Provides training and supervision to Department employees.
6. Champions the quality process.
7. Has primary responsibility for and submits all regulatory reports including: MORs, DMRs, RDCs, Turbidity reports and all other applicable reports.
8. Completes the MOR and insures its accuracy.
9. Monitors bulk chemical inventories, completes inventory reports and orders all bulk chemicals.
10. Participates in and makes presentations during Departmental meetings.
11. Insures compliance with the Chemical Hygiene Plan.
12. Investigates plant upsets and determines corrective action.
13. Directs the operating staff on process changes.
