The Royal College of Anaesthetists is the professional body responsible for educating, training and setting standards in Anaesthesia.

Position: Faculties Administrator
Location: Holborn, London, WC1
Salary: £27,250 per annum

ROLE:
The Faculties Team manages the growing work of the Faculties of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) and Pain Medicine (FPM). The Team sits within the Education Directorate of the company, which is the professional body responsible for educating, training and setting standards in the company. This new and diverse Faculties Administrator role supports a number of key areas across the Faculties and offers you a fantastic opportunity to stamp your mark on the role.

The role will vary from administering consultations, to assisting with the smooth delivery of relevant meetings and events, including arranging committee meetings and drafting minutes. The role also provides an opportunity to develop project administration skills through the e-Learning for Pain project.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) An organised and confident individual, with highly developed administrative skills who thrives on the challenge of balancing competing and changing priorities in a number of busy areas.
b) Experience of arranging committee meetings and typing accurate minutes, requiring outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
c) Experience assisting with the smooth running of events, alongside the ability to quickly develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
d) Enthusiasm and flexibility to contribute to the wider aims of the team, whilst possessing the aptitude to work autonomously and pro-actively in project work.
e) A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail, alongside a methodical and conscientious approach to work.
f) Excellent working knowledge of the MS Office package.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience of working in a healthcare or education environment.
b) Document and report preparation.
c) Database experience although training will be given on in house databases.
