The Client
One of the UK’s premiere sporting facilities and and home to the world's oldest museums. Based in central London they host a line up of spectacular sporting events and one of the planned venues for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The Opportunity
As their Procurement Manager you will be tasked with implementing and managing procurement systems and developing long term supplier relationships to consolidate and reduce current spend. You will also be tasked with ensuring internal and external compliance to the contractual process.
The Role
Managing all indirect spends you will be tasked with:
· Reducing spend on food and beverage
· Identifying cost reduction opportunities
· Mentoring the supply base to achieve best results
· Write review contracts
· Project management of all procurement based projects
The Person
You will be from retail / sports / events background with a good understanding of the Catering / Food Beverage category. You will also be very commercially minded and able to demonstrate the following skills / experience:
· Spend and cost reduction
· Stakeholder Management
· Strategic Tactical Purchasing
· Contract Management
· Indirect Procurement
· A track record of delivering Procurement best practice
The Package
A basic salary of between £38,000 £45,000 is on offer with an excellent benefits package attached.
As the role is London based local candidates would be preferred.
